Kid Shamrock recreated the fight between Bobby Cassidy, aka Kid Shamrock, and Rodrigo Valdez at Madison Square Garden on St. Patrick’s’ Day in 1971, a fight that ultimately led to Bobby’s retirement from boxing and enlightenment as a human being, the play is an homage to the vibrant blue-collar tradition of Irish American boxing.

Performed at the Atlantic Theatre Company.
